Sea World San Antonio

So last weekend we went to San Antonio for my brother-in-laws BMT graduation and had a great time. It was hot like last year when I went for Scott's but this time around I was so pregnant. It probably wasn't the smartest thing for me to be out in the sun and heat all weekend but it was great to be with family. It was so neat to see Kyle graduate, he was just so happy and more confident. They definitely kicked him into shape and made him into a man. We are so proud of him. Plus, it was neat to see how happy it made my mother-in-law, to see her son so happy and vibrant.
So after graduation we decided to go to Sea World all day Saturday. Nickolas thought it was the coolest thing ever. He has been talking about the whales ever since. He keeps asking me when we are going to see them again. I do have to say that the whale show was pretty cool and they are just too dang cute! (By the way, the whale in Nick's hands is his new favorite toy!)

They had many different shows to go and watch but we all agreed that the whales were the best. So besides the shows we went on a few rides. Nickolas just had to ride this boat ride that of course everyone in the boat gets soaking wet but oh well, it was hot, so we decided to take him on it. He was so excited when he climbed into the boat and he said okay lets go. So the boat takes off and climbs the big hill (he is fine at this point) when we get to the top and it turns us around backwards and starts to go down a little hill... He yells, " I want to go home!" my poor baby was so scared! At this point he his crying so bad but there is nothing we can do. They turn the boat around and get us ready for the big drop, Nickolas looks down and goes, "Oh No!" so he screamed the rest of the way that ended the day of riding rides. I felt bad for him but it was really funny. Am I a bad mom for laughing at him? Oh well after we got off he was okay and as soon as he was in the splash park he totally forgot about the ordeal.

After a long day, we were all so ready to just go and crash. Well, literally Nickolas did. As soon as he hit his seat, he was out! It was a great day and it ended even better with a Jamba Juice! We were so excited when we saw one on the way to the airport. That is one thing Scott and I miss most about AZ (besides family of course). So that was our weekend full of fun. I do have to saw that I over did it and spent the next four days in bed sick, but it was worth it.

My tired little boy, we haven't even left the parking lot yet!

  1. No, you are not. We went to S.W./ B.G.'s last fall when one of the log rides said kids must be two... I thought, her birthday is a few weeks away, lets try it. They let Athena on but she was not having it after the big drop. Ten minutes later, she wanted to go again but cried the entire time. I laughed.

  2. I just stumbled upon your blog, and you have an adorable family! We're stationed here at Dyess too.

We've never made the trip down to Sea World, but it looks so fun!
