Well, so we are finally out of Arizona. I will miss being there and being so close to Scott's family but at the same time I am happy to be out of the heat and the desert. We got out just in time to miss the intense summer heat. This is a picture of our last night in Arizona. We went out to eat with my cousins that live in Phoenix and Surprise. My brother and his wife and daughter came from San Diego to see us one last time before we move so far away. It was a great night.

So we left on Sunday in the afternoon and drove straight through to Michigan. The trip actually went faster then I thought it would. We made great time and arrived to Michigan on Tuesday early in the morning. I am so glad to have that drive behind me. The next two days I slept in late because I was so tired from driving all the late night shifts. But I am finally refreshed, just in time to help my parents pack up all their belongings and move into and new house. Yeah more packing!! Didn't I just get done doing that!! Anyways, I am more then willing to help since I am bumming a their house for a while. Okay, so Nickolas is totally loving it here. Grandpa has taken him to the farm every day where he can run and fish and throw rocks into the pond. This is like the coolest place to him and everything is an adventure. I knew he would like it because I loved growing up here. Here is a picture of Nickolas and Grandpa catching his first fish ever. Hey, it was a big Blue Gill and it put up a good fight to be reeled in. He loved it. I think he caught about six more. He asks me every day to go fishing with Grandpa but sadly his brand new batman fishing pole is sitting on the bottom of the twenty-foot deep pond. He cried so hard when he dropped it. It broke my heart to see how sad he was!!
But of course Grandpa will save the day. Tomorrow he is putting a hook onto the end of a long pole and he is going to try and fish it out. We will see what happens. So it feels so good to be home around all the things that are familiar to me. I also love to see so much green everywhere and I love how fresh the air smells. I didn't realize how much I missed home until I got back. I am so glad that I get the whole summer here before we have to move again. Well, that is all for now. I miss all you Arizonians.

Seriously we miss you guys..im glad that the drive went well..your dad looks so young by the way..
ReplyDeleteI can't wait to find out where you guys will be stationed! It was good to see you and Nickolas before you left. I already regret not getting together with you guys more while you lived here.
