So last weekend at our zoo here in town, they had a Zoolute Day to all military members and their families. Unfortunately Scott had to work so just Nickolas and I went to the zoo for the day. Of course the weather did not cooperate and it rained the whole time but it was still fun. Nickolas loved seeing animals and splashing in the rain puddles (what kid doesn't like to get wet and muddy!)
Nickolas liked the Flamingos and kept asking me why they were pink! It was really cute, just about as cute as hearing him say 'flamingos'. He is getting so smart and his vocab is unbelievable. We also got to see Zebras, Alligators, Buffalo, Black Bears, Panthers, Lions, Jaguars, lots of Turtles and all different kinds of birds.
But of course Nickolas' favorite had to be the snakes...
Nickolas made us spend the rest of our time here. He just couldn't get enough of them. I was just thankful that they are behind the glass. Even though it was wet and cold... it was a great day and we wish everyone could have been with us to join in on the fun. Maybe next time!
